Raja wants tariffs lower at 10 paisa and 25 paisa.

Raja the minister of IT in the UPA government is keen to bring down the mobile tariffs to about 10 paisa for local calls and 25 paisa for STD calls.

The tariffs today are 40 paisa – re1 for local and STD is Re1 – Rs2.

Raja is the Union minister for communication and IT in the newly formed government.
He also said that auctioning of 3G spectrum will be his priority.
